adrenalin
karlstein is a small climbing area nearby salzburg. already in the 60´s local climbers found this spot
good for training for the 'real' climbing in alpine routes. when alexander and thomas visit the area for
the first time in 1982, freeclimbing has just been dicovered from the locals. ten years later this crag
seemed to be completely developed, almost 100 different routes exist. in spring 2001 alexander comes back
to karlstein to train, 'discovers' two old projects again and soon he climbs the now most difficult routes
of the crag. 'adrenalin (8c+) and 'headline' (8c) are both 20 meters long, just slightly overhanging,
therefore tecnically desperately hard with biting cruxes, which demand an explosive climbing style.
